For a introduction to a Wikipedia topic you want it to be interesting. You don't want to bored the reader with the very first sentence of the article. You need to grab the reader once they read that sentence. That's what makes a strong intro in a article.
That's right because I know that when I am reading articles and the introduction is boring it turns away my attention to the overall material within the articles.
